Sparkles

Sparkles passed away peacefully March 9th, 2025, at home, with her parents by her side, after a short health battle.

She is survived by her family, Joey, Jason, Tyler, Cupcake and Charlie. Along with numerous friends.

Sparkles was born sometime before 2019 in Kuwait and found her home July 29th, 2019. She spent the following years as a loyal companion and guard dog, protecting her family from delivery drivers, children on the sidewalk, and squirrels.

Sparkles, never liking to be alone, enjoyed spending time with her family most. The utterance of the word "outside" led to excitement. She would pick up her harness and carry it to Jason for a walk. As a reminder of her love for him, she would sneak into Tylers room often, just to pee under his desk. She had an unbreakable bond with Joey that required following her everywhere. When they were apart, Sparkles would spend that time looking out the window, sometimes for hours, waiting for her return.

Sparkles was also a fan of people food, rides in the car, sleeping on your head or taking up an entire king size bed. She was not a fan of bubble wrap, people hitting golf balls and children in general.

Sparkles story is one all rescued animals can hope for. She was found on the street a scared, aggressive, shell of a dog and became a princess and lived the life of one. She will be so deeply missed by her family. (except Cupcake. Who was never quite fond of her anyways.)

Her family would like to thank Starting Over Animal Rescue for bringing Sparkles to them, Humane Veterinary Hospital for taking care of all her health needs, and Kuhn Funeral Home for handling her final arrangements.
