Kasey was born a street cat and was brought into the care of a Lancaster County cat rescue where she became the first adopted cat in January 2006 for Scott and Edward Kimmel of Reading. She joined Ed’s existing cats Regis and Kelly and quickly became the blended pride.
Over her long-life Kasey helped socialize and teach countless foster kittens who passed through the doors of the Kimmel home over the last 18 years. In her first decade of life she was an excellent mouser and often would be found lounging in a sunny spot when life allowed. Life slowed down for her as she aged but she was still effective at hunting mice and teaching kittens how to enjoy life amongst human care givers.
She leaves behind her human daddy’s Scott and Ed, 2 canine sibling’s Tootsie and Winston, as well as several feline siblings including passing her baton to Ginger, Skinny and Blackie among others, as well as the kittens currently in foster care.
Her mortal remains will be inurned with sisters Regis (2004-2022) and Kelly (1992-2007) and brother Brady (2007-2020). Her spirit runs free with all her sisters and brothers who passed before her.
